REVIEW: Whole Foods

We try to eat clean and natural/organic when we can, and so Whole Foods is a place we stop by fairly often for groceries. When that coincides with needing to eat, I'll often get a couple of slices of pizza while I am there. Getting an entire pizza is totally unreasonable, price-wise, but a couple of slices usually runs about 6 bucks which is not bad and totally filling enough. The biggest problem Whole Foods runs into is volume - it is a low volume pizza seller, yet it wants to have several types on hand for people to buy whenever so the pizza tends to not be fresh. They throw it back in the oven for a bit to warm it back up, which helps but is not ideal. I got two slice of pepperoni today and this is what it looked like:

Not the best looking slice I've received from Whole Foods, but not the worst, either. It has the issue where the crust is too thin and floppy at the point and too thick at the crust. It is pretty generous with the pepperoni, though, and the ingredients are high-quality and good tasting. It would be better with a side of sauce that I don't usually get from here, to help with the dryness of being less fresh and dealing with that huge crust edge. Ultimately, this is not pizza that would seek out, but when I am already here, this will certainly do for a meal. Knowing that the ingredients are clean is a nice plus. The verdict?

6 slices = Solidly Delicious
